Structure of the Class:  Each week there will be a power point of the topics and concepts to be covered in class.  When the basics are understood enough to start reading charts, the example charts will be the charts of the students in the class who wish to participate and share their chart with their classmates. This way you get to learn about your own chart as you go. When several related chart reading techniques are presented in one class meeting, we will go back and forth between the power point and the charts so that you get to apply each technique to several charts right after we discuss it. Depending on the size of the class it may not be possible to cover everyone’s chart in the allotted time. When that is the case, I will ensure that each student’s chart is covered equally either by limiting the number of minutes we spend on each chart to get everyone in, or by taking turns with charts each week. Group consensus will be taken into consideration in this decision, along with difficulty of the technique.
