Planet Shifts October 1 – 7, 2018

On October 2, 2018 at 12:56 am EDT, Mercury enters Chitra (Spica). Chitra Nakshatra is ruled by the celestial architect Vishvakarma aka Tvastar and has the Shakti Power of form, variety, abundance and righteousness. The prior Nakshatra Hasta, whose symbol is the hand, is associated with craftmanship and sits entirely in sidereal Virgo. Chitra follows with the next evolutionary process, bridging Virgo and Libra, to find the right form and purpose for what is crafted; to bring abundance through variety of uses and purposes.

On October 5, 2018 at 3:05 pm EDT, Venus stations retrograde. Being closest to Earth, Venus is more powerful, being retrograde she is more internalized and concerned with revisions. Venus has been in Swati since September 10th. Swati is known as the “star of the arts,” Venus is associated with the arts, and Swati is associated with Saraswati the Goddess of Arts & Learning. Swati is ruled by Vayu the Wind God.  Venus is tapping into the Shakti Power of transformation, movement, and the power to scatter like the wind. Swati is associated with the star Arcturus in the constellation Bootes. Arcturus is the path finder who is the guardian of learning, protector of those entering a new life style and a visionary who leads the way to a better life through the exploration of new ways and means. As Venus retrogrades in Swati, we have the opportunity to tune inward and listen to our true desires in this regard.

On October 6, 2018 at 3:12 am EDT Mercury enters sidereal Libra (Lahiri ayanamsha) where Jupiter and Venus are currently. With the opposition to Uranus in sidereal Aries, this is a good time to make positive changes to create balance in your life. As this lunation cycle comes to a close with three planets in Libra, think about how to bring balance into all aspects of yourself and your life as part of the goal for the next lunation cycle.
